والدین اپنی جوانی اور خواہشات اولاد کی پرورش پر قربان کر دیتے ہیں، مگر بڑھاپے میں ان کی حقیقی طاقت اولاد کا نرم اور محبت بھرا لہجہ ہوتا ہے۔ یہ احترام اور نرمی بچپن کی اس تربیت کا نتیجہ ہوتی ہے جس میں والدین کی خدمت اور بڑھاپے کو بوجھ کے بجائے فرض سمجھنا سکھایا جائے۔ اولاد کی اصل کامیابی دنیاوی دولت یا عہدے میں نہیں بلکہ ایک بااخلاق اور دردِ دل رکھنے والا انسان بننے میں ہے جو والدین کو وقت اور عزت دے۔ چونکہ بچے زبانی نصیحت کے بجائے عملی کردار سے سیکھتے ہیں، اس لیے والدین کو اپنے عمل سے ان کی تربیت کرنی چاہیے تاکہ بڑھاپے میں وہ اپنے ہی گھر میں اجنبیت اور تنہائی سے محفوظ رہ سکیں
